General Admission Requirements

  • In accordance with Royal Decree 822/2021, to access official university Master's degree programs, it is necessary to hold an official Spanish Bachelor's degree, or another Master's degree, or degrees of the same level as the Spanish Bachelor's or Master's degree issued by universities or higher education institutions within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) that authorize access to Master's programs in the issuing country.
  • Possession of a degree issued by a university in a country outside the EHEA is also permitted, and such degrees do not require official recognition (homologación). The UPC will verify beforehand that these studies correspond to a level of training equivalent to official Spanish university degrees and that they authorize access to Master's studies in the issuing country. Access via this route does not, under any circumstances, imply the official recognition of the previous degree, nor its recognition for any purpose other than pursuing Master's studies. The obtained Master's degree, however, will be fully official and valid.
  • UPC Bachelor's studentsmay also access Master's programs if, despite not having obtained their degree, they only have the Bachelor's Thesis (TFG) and maximum of 9 ECTS credits pending (including credits pending recognition or transfer) , or if they have completed their studies but are pending the attainment of the cross-disciplinary competence in a third language, where applicable.
In cases of access with pending Bachelor's ECTS credits, the school or faculty responsible for the degree may define additional conditions regarding the pending credits or may choose not to allow access via this route.
Under no circumstances may students who access via this route obtain the Master's degree without having previously obtained their Bachelor's degree.
  • Regarding students who hold an official university degree  obtained in accordance with curricula prior to Royal Decree 822/2021 (First Additional Provision), hey may access a Master's program if they meet the following requirements:
